Navy Trench Coat Winter Transition w/ Banana Republic
I talk about the fall to winter transition a lot. I’ve done a Fall Edit post recently and personally, I have no idea what to do with myself!! It’s such a weird period of warmth and cool and because of how quickly and often the temperatures change, I have to layer like there’s nobody’s business! I love working with pieces that are classic layering pieces, like a good Navy Trench coat! When I think of a trench, I normally think of a black or tan one, but in all honesty, I’ve fallen in love with this Navy Trench from Banana Republic!

I’ve never thought of navy as a transition color for some reason. In always stay in black and white during my fall to winter transition, but with these new pieces all from Banana Republic, I’m really excited to transition. There’s nothing better than a turtleneck and trench coat on a cold fall day. Both of these pieces can be layered with other things to help get the perfect winter look! I can put a simple chunky knit sweater under this trench and be perfectly fine when the weather takes a turn for the colder, or I can simply wear the outfit without the coat on one of my warmer days.

Transitioning between fall and winter doesn’t have to be the most arduous task of the year!! With the help of brands like Banana Republic, you can be sure to be comfortable with a simple transition. I got a lot of compliments when I wore this look over the weekend, and it’s easy to see why! Banana Republic has great pieces that are still casual at the same time, but look sophisticated! You can toss on this jacket with a fedora and look chic while staying warm. That is a recipe for a perfect winter transition!

A trench is classic. You look great. Separates are always good investments to layer and mix and match in various ways.
