Life is a great thing, but also, it’s not the safest thing. It really does suck to have to say that, but it’s true, especially when it comes to the Internet. The internet is a great place, but it also comes with many dangers, from catfishing to Craigslist killers. As a blogger, I can’t help but love the internet, because it has helped me become the person I am today, but not without a few hiccups along the way. Recently, I was shown the SUDO app and I know that it’s been a while since I talked about tech, but I really wanted to share this app and why I think it’s great!!
I need to preface this with a story first. Recently, I was almost subjected to an online scam since as some of you may know, I really enjoy apps such as Depop and Vinted in order to sell some of my old items. Each are great apps. Yet, scammers and menaces are frequent fliers. I sold a dress to another girl. After I sent it to her, she responded that the dress was unsuitable and she wanted her money back. I asked why. She claimed the dress ripped on on one side. Keep in mind, this is a brand new dress still in the packaging.
I agreed to let her send it back. Then, she said she wanted to keep the dress and get her money back. Long story short, scammers cannot punk me. So I reminded her of my no returns policy and promptly blocked her. She found me later on and found one of my email addresses and proceeded to send me a slew of horrible messages. Honestly, if I hadn’t used my actual email address, I probably would have been safe from her. That is where SUDO would have come in greatly.
On SUDO, you can email, call, text, shop, and so much more, but in a safe manner. When you create your account, you create a new email and phone number that can only be used by you. So no matter what you do, you will be safe. If you enjoy dating apps, you can be safe when you want to message off the app. If you use online stores or blogs, you can be safer by using a different address to manage your information.
I personally love traveling. Yet, when it comes to some of my travel escapades, giving my phone number out on the internet is not safe. SUDO gives me the ability to contact and converse with those people in a way that keeps me safe. Also, with SUDO, I complete my work easily. I don’t have to worry about a hacker stealing my information or using it against my will. So, I feel safer than ever while using the app and doing everything that I enjoy.
On SUDO, I can immediately create a profile for me to use and use safely, unlike other privacy apps. I feel in complete control of my life and security. I can shop on my favourite sites! Starting later this month, also shop directly from the app using my cards safely. SUDO has changed the way I work and interact with the internet in a better way, and I don’t think I’ll ever go back!
