Layering for Fall

Is anyone else crying because it’s fall officially? Yes, I’m crazy happy for Halloween and Thanksgiving, but I’m not a big fan of what’s to come with the weather! I love summer, the heat, and just being able to wear comfortable clothes all the time, but alas, all good things must come to an end! I’ve been able to get my things together and prep for the winter months now, so here’s to embracing layering again!

The weather here is so variable, that most days, I will carry a jacket with me, just to make sure I don’t overheat! I love taking a summer dress, like this one from Forever 21, and remaking it into a fall outfit. I don’t have to change what I wear for the seasons, I make it work for me!

Layering doesn’t mean that you have to change up how you dress entirely. Until it gets too cold to be comfortable, I’ll add simple pieces like a pair of tights or a heavier jacket to keep warm, but underneath it all the summer still lives. I do enjoy the variability that my style can have in fall because I can go from a simple look like this, to a more statement-filled outfit in a matter of seconds, depending on what I wear. You really can’t mess it up, other than not having enough layers on, so really, play with it and just test it! Fall is all about experimenting for me, so try out the embroidered bomber trend or the new cold shoulder sweater, and make it work for you!!
