Ah Spain!! I miss you dearly, especially when the Atlanta humidity is killing my hair!! When I took these photos, the sun was just beginning to warm the city, just when the city itself began to buzz! I feel incredibly lucky that I got to experience such a beautiful city and take a few pictures here and there. For those of you who watched my lookbook, this outfit is probably not new at all! I wanted to share on the blog how I use this as a layering piece! I loved the weather in Spain, it was just that perfect limbo between warm and cold that I love!

So as you all probably know, I love spring. Pollen not so much, but I still love spring. It’s a great time for layering my favorite skirts with my favorite sweaters. Plus, I’m able to get away with such a risqué outfit. This patchwork skirt is actually super short, or maybe it seems so to me. I have a short waist, but long legs, so every skirt like this looks short on me. Don’t even get me started on shorts, that’s an entirely different story!!
I paired this skirt with a duster jacket partially for style reasons because I love the look, but also for practicality. It wasn’t really warm in Barcelona, but it wasn’t necessarily cold either! So the best thing I could do was layer, and this coat is always a go to when I plan on layering or need to travel. As I’m beginning to travel more, I’m learning more about my travel/packing habits and needs. So, stay tuned for more Packing 101 tips as the summer nears!!
