Balmain x H&M
Today marks the launch of H&M’s newest collaboration with the Paris fashion house Balmain being added to H&M’s collab roster. Well, guess what? As of 9:30 AM, it sold out, basically worldwide. If you were one of the brave souls in NYC, London, Paris or Atlanta who braved the craziness, I salute you. You deserve a hug. From what I saw and heard and I genuinely hope you got your clothes and the experience. 
So this article isn’t really about the campaign, since it’s long gone…it’s more about what happened this morning and why I’m so messed up. So at 7:50 this morning, I woke up, woke my Mac up, opened Chrome and used the new split-screen function to open up my class scheduling program for next semester and also the H&M site. Well the magical clock turned 8 and my class scheduling went smoothly (for once) but all I saw for the next half hour on the H&M site was their, oops sorry, we’ve got too many people on the site right now, try again later. It was a really sad thing to see….really sad.
I’ve been excited about this campaign for ages now. To have the site be down before, during, and everything sell out in 2 minutes after the site opened sucked. I wish there was more stock, but I guess they underestimated the #BalmainArmy! I’m not gonna buy a $1,300 dress off of eBay, but hey, the experience was fun!
The pictures are all amazing. Plus, one of my favorite models, Jourdan Dunn, was one of the campaign’s faces! To buy Balmain-inspired pieces for a fraction of the price is a new, and awesome feat. Who knows, maybe H&M will do another launch and have some more products available soon!! Take a look at some of the campaign pieces!

It was sold out when I arrived and I really wish it wasn’t but hopefully they’ll send some more pieces back on stock.
