FAQ

FAQ || The Hat Logic
Welcome to my F.A.Q. page! Here’s where you can find some of the answers to the other questions you may have! Enjoy x

Where are you from?

Atlanta, GA USA, but I was born in San Diego, California (always will claim Cali!)

What do you want to do in life?

At this point in my life, I would love to do something that allows me to be creative, travel, and work on expanding human rights. I’m working on a double major at my university in International Studies (International Relations) & Art History, and I would love to combine all of my loves in one job. I don’t think that’s entirely possible, so I would love to either become a lawyer who does creative work on the side, or work as a creative full time, while working with local groups to make the world a better place. Idealistic, isn’t it?

Why did you start blogging?

I wanted a way to share my style and the certain things I like in the fashion world. I was oblivious to the fact that there were even fashion bloggers before I got on Tumblr, and as I figured out more about them, I really liked the idea of blogging about my personal style.

What/Who inspires your style?

This is a really hard question! I find inspiration from everywhere and with an eclectic style like mine, it goes everywhere! I find inspiration everywhere, from Rihanna, Diors last collection, street style photography, Beyonce, even just walking down the streets of Paris!

What camera do you use?

For photos and videos that I take, it is a Canon 70d with a Canon 50mm 1.4 lens or an 28-135mm lens.  I’ve got plans to get a new body in the next few months, so I’m excited to share that with you all! I also use an Olympus PEN PL-7 with a 45mm lens for vlogging, which is just as fun for me!

Who takes your pictures?

So I haven’t taken blog photos in ages, but I’m working with friends and smaller influencers/photographers in Atlanta, who are always credited in my posts, but when I pop into London, Victoria Metaxas or Zoe Griffin take my photos!

Do you use any editing software?

I don’t edit my body, but I use all Adobe products to bring my content to life. I definitely recommend and use Lightroom, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and Photoshop for all of my content.

What’s one piece of technology you can’t live without?

My phone! I finally managed to upgrade to the iPhone X, so it’s like a tablet in my hand! The camera is amazing and with my phone, I can socialize with you all!

Pros of blogging life?

Meeting people around the world, having many unbelievable opportunities afforded to me, and realizing that there is inspiration wherever I go.

Cons of blogging life?

Balancing pictures with my school schedule is always hard, especially with my strict college class schedule.

Where do you shop?

I love shopping at Zara, Topshop, Free People, ASOS, Urban Outfitters, and some other smaller brands, such as MUJI, Zoe Karssen, and more. If you’re interested in what I really love, there’s a Shop page, where you can find all of the items that I’m lusting after.

What should I do if I want to create a blog?

Glad you asked! Well I’ve got one shorter post up right now on my blog, but I will be expanding and sharing it with you all! If you’re interested in learning more, check out that post and this video and you will learn how to set up WordPress blogs & get started on your own site in just a few minutes!

Where can I find a way to get in touch?

Check my contact page, and it’s all there! And even comments work too!

Will you check out my blog?

Sure! Just leave me a link in a comment or in a tweet or something, and I will be sure to!!

What tools do you use to make your posts?

Before I write, I make a list of all of the points that I want to hit in the post, then expand on those. For the photos, I use Photoshop, Lightroom, and Illustrator to edit if edits are needed.
